Licensed Practical Nurse (Part-Time)

Location: UBMD Primary Care – 3875 N Buffalo Rd, Orchard Park, NY 14127 

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Friday (flexible start/end times during clinic hours) 

Hours: 18–21 hours/week (6–7 hours/day) 

Pay Range: $24.00–$26.00/hour 

Status: Part-Time, Non-ExemptAA/EOE

About the Role

UBMD Primary Care is seeking a compassionate, detail‑oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our Orchard Park outpatient clinic. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys direct patient care, thrives in a fast‑paced clinical environment, and brings strong communication and organizational skills to every interaction. Experienced LPNs and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll use your clinical, technical, and patient‑care skills to support providers and ensure efficient clinic flow. Responsibilities include:

Clinical Care & Patient Support

  • Escorting patients to exam rooms and completing clinical intake
  • Obtaining vitals and documenting patient history in the EMR
  • Administering immunizations, injections, and point‑of‑care tests
  • Assisting providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Preparing and maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
  • Packaging and processing specimens for laboratory analysis

Care Coordination & Communication

  • Communicating care plans, test results, and instructions to patients
  • Providing patient education based on diagnoses and provider guidance
  • Managing e‑scribe refill requests and patient portal messages
  • Ensuring charts and records are complete and accurate for each visit

Operational Support

  • Reviewing and completing provider orders
  • Scheduling tests or follow‑up appointments when needed
  • Maintaining vaccine records and clinic supply inventory
  • Supporting phone triage and call coverage as needed
  • Following HIPAA, OSHA, infection‑control, and safety standards

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program; Associate’s degree preferred
  • 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred (outpatient experience ideal)
  • New graduates welcome to apply
  • EMR experience helpful
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills required
  • Must hold an active New York State LPN license

Work Environment

  • Fast‑paced outpatient clinic
  • Frequent standing, walking, and patient interaction
  • Light lifting up to 15 lbs
  • Exposure to typical clinical hazards (needles, body fluids)
  • May occasionally travel to other UBMD Primary Care locations
